"Red Foliage"
The painting "Red Foliage" measured 16" x 20" oil on canvas is my experiment of playing around with the brushstrokes and the use of left over paints. I enjoyed the application of laying down wet on wet, just got to keep practicing.
My name is Micheal Glen Hammons and I love being an artist. I am also a President and art instructor at Art Center of Williamson County in Round Rock, Texas (close to Austin). I decided to start a blog in 2008 to keep everyone updated on what's going on in my world of Art. Instead of a daily blog, I am doing one weekly where I will invite you to view works in progress or favorite completed pieces of art. I appreciate comments about my work and, if you see something you'd like to buy, please send me your e-mail address. My work can be seen in Round Rock, Texas at Texas State University Higher Education Bldg, Ministering Physicians and Art Center of Williamson County.
